I have been so preoccupied this month that it's taken me weeks to post another entry. After all the fussing and fighting with the Navy and all their crap we're finally home! First of all I went for my one month follow up on the 15th, and the doctor was very surprised at how well I was doing. Of course, so was I when I walked around a scrapbooking convention for about 4 hours or so 2 weeks post-op! I figured I'd be stuck in bed for weeks but that certainly wasn't the case. I go for another x-ray to check on the fusion in 2 months; until then I'm supposed to find a new doctor and also start physical therapy to start reconditioning my muscles and learning how to bend right. On another note the Navy has really ran us through the ringer. I won't go into details but they've essentially screwed us out of a LOAD of money and just altogether did us wrong. Not sure yet what we can do about it if we can even do anything at all, but we certainly will try! And in all this chaos comes a little relief. We are soooo glad to be back home! Even though we may not be in our own house just yet we still couldn't be happier right where we are!
